Reducing Waste Advice For May
Each month Tammi, our clean ocean campaigner, brings you a new and interesting advice to reduce waste & help protect the ocean in your everyday life. Here is the fifth tip for 2021:
Hello Ocean Explorer,
I can hardly believe that the summer is almost here! What are you most looking forward for the summer of 2021? I am hoping to be able to hire a kayak to go and explore some of my local coastlines. The only downside is that the nicer weather also brings out the litterers and those who think that beaches clean up themselves. So I have no doubt that there will be a number of clean ups to also take part in this summer.
Last month I challenged you to take a stand against fast fashion and source your clothes from sustainable sources. We shared Löfte an Eco Clothing company with a carefully curated collection of luxury brands created with ethically sourced materials from some of the most exciting sustainable fashion brands.
This month I am taking things back to eco basics, with a reminder to switch the Bamboo Toothbrushes! If you have been a part of Ocean Helper for a while now you will likely know that switching to a bamboo toothbrush is by far one of the easiest and simplest ways you can start to help the planet. Learn more about making the switch here.
