Reducing Plastic Waste - Tip of the Month!
Each month we are aiming to bring you a new and interesting tip to reduce plastic waste in your everyday life. This month Tammi, our clean ocean campaigner, has this excellent tip for you:
Hello Ocean Helpers!
These last few months have been testing to say the least. It has been heartbreaking not being able to visit the beaches, but I hope you are all staying safe and keeping well. As we draw closer to the summer, I am becoming more and more excited to get back to the coastline to explore and adventure.
For the month of May I have a new reusable option for you! My tip for this month is Reusable Bamboo Pads. There are many aspects of everyday life where simple changes can be made to reduce waste and this is one you may not have thought of! Reusable bamboo or cotton pads can be used in place of make-up remover wipes or disposable pads and wipes.
Ocean Helper stocks packs of 20 super soft, reusable bamboo pads for just $26.95. These reusable pads are made from bamboo fibres, they are perfect for removing make up and nail varnish or for washing your face. They come with a handy bag to keep them all together, simply use, wash and reuse again and again. Click here to get yours today!
What's on May 2020 - Ocean Helper's
We are incredibly excited to announce that last month we were able to donate $300 to the Marine Mammal Centre all thanks to your support! This month we have shifted our focus to Sea Turtles, so not only will every purchase save a baby turtle through the Billion Baby Turtle Project but on top of that we will be donating 10% of our profits to them to save and protect even more sea turtle hatchlings!
So far this month we have looked at how we can protect sea turtles and the ocean in general after lockdown is lifted around the world. We have seen the potential for nature to bounce back when human interference is taken out of the equation and we need to ensure that we don't go back to the way things were.
