Ocean Helper Update - June 2020

Reducing Plastic Waste - Tip of the Month!

Each month we are aiming to bring you a new and interesting tip to reduce plastic waste in your everyday life. This month Tammi, our clean ocean campaigner, has this wonderful tip for you:

Hello Ocean Helpers!

With restrictions and lockdowns lifting around the world, the call of the ocean is stronger than ever. Many of us are returning to the beaches (at a safe distance, of course) to enjoy the sounds of the ocean and feel the sand between our toes once again!

As it is now June I have yet another reusable option for you... My tip for this month is Shampoo Bars. With the ongoing pandemic around the world we are seeing a sharp rise in single use or disposable plastic options, which makes it all the more important for us to find ways that we can reduce plastic! Switching over to shampoo bars is a great way to drastically reduce plastic in your bathroom. Rather than bulky shampoo bottles you can get a natural shampoo bar, which often only comes with a light plastic wrap around it to protect it from the elements.

Ocean Helper actually has a great offer on their shampoo bars at the moment because you can choose from Lavender, Mint, Jasmine or Seaweed and save 50%! Usually they are $19.95 each, but if you order yours today they are just $9.95 and they will last at least as long as your standard shampoo if not longer! Click here to get yours today!
