How Many Species of Dolphin Can You Name?

Ways That You Can Celebrate National Dolphin Day

Today, April 14th, is National Dolphin Day! We love any excuse to celebrate these incredible, intelligent creatures and today is the perfect day to do so.

Here are some ways you can celebrate:

  • Join the fight on dolphins in captivity! Sign a petition and spread awareness for the cause to #emptythetanks - These fascinating mammals deserve to be living wild and free in the open ocean.

  • Learn something new and share the knowledge. There are 36 different species of dolphins throughout the world's oceans (we have them listed below) so why not take a few minutes to learn a little more about some of them.

  • Donate what you can to your favorite dolphin conservation charity, or share some of the work they do. Here are some that we love and support and strongly suggest you check out:

  • Join the protests against dolphin hunting. You can learn more about that here.
